Another upgrade

Technology moves fast and I like to keep up. I have upgraded this site to a more up-to-date format and moved it from the free WordPress.com site to my own hosting platform. The free WordPress site has been an excellent resource and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enter the world of blogging. The only disadvantages are that because so popular the domain name is long and convoluted and because it is free it is funded by inserting adverts onto the page. It can of course be upgraded. The personal plan allows the use of a custom domain name for a current fee (2023) of US$60 per year. I used this plan for several years.
